In this episode, Nick reflects on his experiences from his first week of doing the WATERTIGHT Challenge. He has got to grips with his water meter and started to work out where and how they are using water on a day-to-day basis in the household. This monitoring has thrown up some rather surprising findings…for example, he had no idea that the washing would use 50 litres a wash or that flushing the toilet would represent such a big proportion of their daily water use. Having said that, the first week was also dominated by a growing obsession with the weather – a rapidly escalating heatwave and no proper rain for over a month has meant the first week of the WATERTIGHT Challenge has been especially tricky….
